Take a small lump of cottage cheese and put it in boiling water. If the cheese has completely melted and turned into a viscous mass, and the water remains clear, then you have a quality product.
Leave the lump of cottage cheese at room temperature for half a day. If the curd turns yellow, but the taste and smell have not changed, then it contains palm or other vegetable oils. If the cheese starts to turn sour and changes its smell, the product is natural.
